The Ninja Professional 1000w Blender
The Ninja professional 1000w blender model number that I ordered is the BL610 and it comes with a motor base, Pitcher, detachable blade assembly, pouring spout with cap, manual, and a little recipe book. When I got this thing I was rather excited, because I have been using the Ninja Blast for a time and wanted something with a little more power and volume in the vessel/pitcher. Click Ninja Blast if you're interested in a smaller more compact version. The Ninja Professional 1000w Blender is an awesome countertop blender that has both the power and volume I was looking for and more!
Button Layout & What They Do
The Ninja Professional 1000w motor base has an easy-to-use button layout! The power button is two-pronged it's what turns it on as well as will start blinking if something is wrong. Then you have the pulse which let you turn on the blender while your holding it down, which is used for better control. Low option is best used for Processing & Mixing, Medium is best for blending and chopping, Then you have High which is used for pureeing and liquefying (This is what I use mostly for my smoothies). To learn more about what each level is intended for go to your user manual.
Pitcher And Blade Assembly
The blender comes with a good-sized pitcher that at max should make about 72 oz. The pitcher does come with measuring capabilities on the pitcher itself. Please pay attention to the Max Liquid level and never go over that with any kind of liquid. The blade assembly that comes with it is a 6-bladed monstrosity (in a good way) that will cut up and blend everything I have thrown at it. It'll cut you just as fast so look out while cleaning or handling this blade assembly. The lid comes with a neat little pouring sprout that has a tight cap that locks into place for when your running the blender. The lid and pouring spout helps with safety as well so that you can pour the contents out without worrying about the blade assembly coming out with it. If you do have to take the lid off all you have to do is hit the release button and then lift the lever that pops up and you're good to go!
About The Blender
So far so good with this countertop blender, everything I've thrown into this Ninja has been blended pretty well. Make sure you don't throw dry ingredients into it by itself because it's not made for grinding that stuff up. When you add the ingredients you should do your liquids first then your solid ingredients in that order. If you are planning on making soups or sauces please make sure they are at room temperature before adding the ingredients into the Ninja Blender, this blender is not made to blend hot ingredients. The only thing that I have a complaint about is that it is rather loud, that aside it runs really smooth and processes everything up. There was an instance where it wasn't blending the ingredients on top but I just added more liquid through the pouring spout and that fixed that. I really like that it has a pouring spout on it so you can add more ingredients safely, also you don't have to open it up to pour your blended goodness out, unless of course it is super thick.
Safety Features
The Ninja Professional 1000w comes with some great safety features built into it. For instance, you actually have to lock it into the base for it to run, which means that you have to put the pitcher at an angle shown and then rotate it clockwise until you hear it click and it locks into place. The other step you have to do before you can run the blender is to make sure the lid is locked into place. For this step you make sure the arrows are aligned then press it firmly into place and lower the locking arm until you hear a click. If any of these steps aren't followed you will see the power button flashing which means it won't run. The last thing I'm going to go over is that if the blender overheats it has a safety stop. If it does that you should unplug the blender, then take the pitcher off and remove the ingredients to make sure there isn't anything stuck in the blades once that is checked let it cool for at least 15 mins. Once the time has elapsed you should be able to reassemble it and start using it again. I really like all these safety features because it give me peace of mind while using the blender, I am rather accident prone.
Cleaning
The Ninja Professional 1000w is very easy to clean and take care of. What I like to do after every use is fill it about halfway with water and add a few drops of dish soap let it run for like 30 seconds or until you feel it's clean enough. Then pour out the liquid and soap and wash off the blade assemble and throw that on the top rack of the dishwasher with the lid. Once that is done I will normally wash the pitcher by hand (with the blade assembly disconnected and put to the side or in the dishwasher) just to make sure to get all residue out of it, of course you can also just throw that in the dish wash as well since all three of those components are dishwasher safe. The only thing you gotta be careful of while cleaning this blender is to make sure you don't submerge the motor mount in any liquid, just use a damp cloth and wipe it down.
Should You Buy It
All in all I think it's a great blender the only cons I have with it is that it's a little loud and I hear the blades go dull after a bit, but you can always buy a replacement blade for it rather cheap. But even with those cons I still very much like this countertop blender and I love using it because of how powerful it is as well as the ease of use and cleaning. I love how I can blend just about whatever I like so I can try a little of this and a little of that and create new concoctions whenever I want to try something new. Don't get me wrong I still like my Ninja Blast but when I need to make smoothies or mixed drinks for more than just myself, then I go straight to my Ninja Professional 1000w blender. I feel like if you want to get into making smoothies or just need a great blender you can't go wrong with this one. Now if you are a little short on countertop space and want to look into something a lot smaller you should look at the Ninja Blast.
