What Comes In The Box

When you first unbox the Ninja blast it comes with the motor base with the blade assembly, the blending vessel, a sip lid, and USB-C charging cord. The motor base comes with a nonslip bottom that comes in handy especially when you take it on the go with you. To clean them is easy peasy everything is top-rack dishwasher safe (just don't run the heated dry cycle) except for the motor base which you will just have to clean manually, or pour some water and a little bit of dish soap into the vessel and run it for a bit. You definitely do not want to submerge the motor base in water either, just give it a nice cleaning and then leave it out to dry. The Blending vessel is nice because it comes with a measure right on the front as well a max fill level. When you first get it you should charge it and the manual says it normally takes about 2 hours for a full charge. for more information on the manual, you should look here ---> https://support.ninjakitchen.com/hc/en-us/articles/8174606166556-BC100-BC150-Series-Ninja-Blast-Portable-Blender-Owner-s-Guide

The Blend

When I first got the Ninja Blast I was so excited to use it that I bought a couple of frozen fruit mixes and went straight to blending. When you add your ingredients to the blast, you should always add the liquids first, then the solid ingredients, and if you use ice add that last. Never use dry ingredients without a liquid. Once you put the ingredients in the blending vessel put the sip lid on then turn it on. The corners of the start/stop button should light up purple moving in a clockwise motion until it turns solid purple then you can hit the start button and it runs for 30 seconds and then comes to a stop. The only issue I have with this blender is that the blades seem to get stuck quite often, especially with larger chunks of frozen fruit, which stops the blending and turns the start/stop button light a flashing orange color, which indicates that the blades are blocked. That's when I just start shaking it a bit to get the blockage free then wait till it turns purple and run it again. Sometimes you do have to do this a number of times which is a little frustrating but hey you get a great smoothie after that so it takes a lot of the burn away! Once you're ready to drink it make sure to turn the power off so you don't accidentally trigger it while you're drinking (yikes)! The blend that you get with the Blast once it really starts going is very smooth and enjoyable. Just for your reference, the bottom of the vessel is the motor base itself so don't try removing it with liquids inside...I made a mess not thinking about it.

Portability And Battery

The Ninja Blast is a portable blender that you can take just about anywhere! The Ninja Blast is a great size to leave in your office or out on the go, the only issue I have with the portability of the Blast is that I feel like it's a little heavy. Yes I know it has a motor and a battery in that thing of course it's going to be a wee bit heavy, but it's still a little bothersome. I also love this little thing because I don't have the counter space for a full-size blender, so being able to put this away and bring it out with ease is a huge plus for me. The battery on the Ninja Blast takes about 2 hours to fully charge from when it's dead and I thought I only got about 4-5 smoothies out of it before I got the red light telling me it needed to be charged but I think that is a safety feature for overheating that pops up. I do tend to try and make more than one smoothie at a time so that's probably why I get that red light pop-up a lot.

In Summary

The Ninja Blast is a great device for those who love smoothies and want them on the go!
