I've been a bit shy about using a wireless mouse and I’ve always sworn by wired mice, but now that I'm doing more work on the computer I think it is time to hang up the ole gaming mouse and get one that's more comfortable and built more for work and productivity! So, I tried the Logitech Mx Master 3S and this is what I found:

Ergonomic Wireless Mouse

 Logitech MX Master 3S

The Logitech MX Master 3S is sculpted to fit your hand while using the palm grip which is something I have to get used to since I like to use the claw grip but I think after using this mouse for a bit longer I will get used to it. This mouse is built with comfort in mind and gives you the ability to customize it so it can fit whatever project or application you are working on. The experience I have gotten so far from using this mouse has been superb in comfort and in practicality.

Form

Logitech crafted The MX Master 3S to fit your hand perfectly to fight hand fatigue for those of us who use the computer for hours on end. The glide on the 3S is very smooth with no catching or noticeable friction. They hide the USB C charging port under the left/right click so you won't be able to see it from the upright position which I find as a nice touch. They made all the buttons smooth, easy to reach, and almost silent so you don't have to listen to all that clackity while you are working. The 3S has an amazing battery life of up to 70 days on a full charge. If it dies on you all you have to do is charge it for a minute and get 3 hours of use out of it, so you can finish up your project before charging it up completely!

Button layout

The S3 features a straightforward yet efficient button arrangement comprising 7 buttons and two wheels. Among these, 5 buttons and the thumb wheel can be customized using the Logi Options + software. The buttons that cannot be reassigned include the left and right click buttons and the Magspeed scroll wheel located on the top (however you can change it to inverted or standard as well as the sensitivity value). The customizable buttons are the middle button (wheel button), top button, thumb wheel, forward button, back button, and a button positioned at the base of the thumb rest known as the gesture button. The gesture button can actually be assigned to 5 custom actions through Logi Options+ one for the button itself and 4 for the button being held and the direction you move the mouse. The 3S does have an on/off switch on the bottom right below where it says "MX Master 3S".

Logi Options +

Logi Options +

The Logitech Mx Master 3S uses software called "Logi Options +" to customize your 3S so it can function the way you need it to so you can achieve your desired outcome with better productivity and ease. In the software, you can have custom settings for different applications and web browsers as well as change your pointer speed up to 8000 DPI (Dots Per Inch). In Logi Options + they also included something called "smart actions" which are settings that you can set up or use presets to accomplish a complex array of steps with just one push of your mouse or keyboard as long as you have a keyboard that is "Logi Options +" compatible. They also have an "AI Prompt Builder" that you can assign so that you can have AI's help at the click of a button when you need it most!

Connectivity options

The Logitech MX Master 3S has two ways of connecting to your devices which is using the Logitech Bolt Reciver or its Bluetooth capabilities. The 3S has the ability to save up to 3 devices so you can change the device with a press of a button. The "Logi Options +" also has an option in the software called "Flow" which allows you to control multiple computers at once to increase productivity and make it easier to transfer files and pictures between computers. I have noticed while using the 3S that sometimes it gets a little jittery and/or laggy though it happens rarely it's happened to me on a few occasions.

Customizability

The MX 3S has a great amount of flexibility and customizability to help you get what you need to get done faster and with greater ease. Don't be afraid to play around with the buttons for example: I switched the gesture button from the thumb rest to the top button because it felt more comfortable to use that button instead. The thumb wheel is another addition that I really love because you can change that to be your forward and back instead of the buttons on the side and that would give you two free buttons on the side. There are a lot of different actions and settings you can tweak with to make this mouse your own!

Final Thoughts

The Logitech MX Master 3S is an amazing mouse with only two downfalls that I have found and that is that it requires you to use a palm grip but with time I think you will get used to it. The other con is that sometimes it loses its smooth connectivity and gets a little laggy. The 3S is great at doing what it was built for with the beautifully sculpted design that fits most hands to combat hand fatigue as well as the near silent buttons which makes the 3S a dream to use. The customizable options as well as the ability to connect to multiple computers give it the functionality and productivity that I and I'm sure many other people are looking for. I think that anyone who uses a computer for work or just spends a lot of time creating or editing content will find this mouse top-tier!
