IProTech Photography Background
I've been searching for ways to get better pictures of the products that I review on my site and I saw the IProTech and thought it may be just what I need. It came with 6 sheets of waterproof 34"x23" backdrops with 6 solid colors and 6 wood designs. The box also came with a base plate that screws onto the telescoping pole that comes with an arm that has two clamps, one on ether side.
The Backdrops
The backdrops that came with this version are all made of copperplate paper material and seem to be of great quality I think I will be able to find very good uses for them however, they are a little bit hard to work with out of the box. They come prerolled and during the first time using them I was struggling to get it to do what I wanted it to! What I figured I would do is flatten them then punch a hole in them and hang them up so that they stay strait. That way I won't have to fight with them every time I want to use them. Other than that I really like the backdrops they take very nice pictures, but the red one I did notice gets scratched quite easily.
How I Customized The Backgrounds
To make them a little more user friendly I flattened them as much as I could by flipping them a couple of times and using books and heavier items to flatten them down. They probably could use a little more flattening to be honest. Then I got some wall hooks and slap them on the wall. I then bought a small grommet set so I would be able to punch holes and not worry about them ripping. Punched the grommet through and hung them up so that they wouldn't have to be all rolled up all the time. I feel like they are way more usable this way however, I know this is a lot of customization that most are not willing to do but I think it's worth it in the end.
The Stand
The IProTech didn't come with any instructions in the box however, you can look at the website and it does have some instructions. Knowing that, this is what you do: unscrew the bolt on the bottom of the telescoping pole then put the pole on the base and put the bolt on the other side of the plate and then screw it in. Once you do that place the arms on top of the pole and you're off to the races. The crystal clamps are adjustable in rotation as well as side to side. And the telescoping pole rises up to 37" so you have good height there.
The Good and The Bad
The negatives for the IProTech are mostly with the stand! The stand needs a heavier weight in the base, and to remedy this you can weigh it down by putting something heavy on the base but you really shouldn't have to. The arms are too small for the size of the backdrops. I'm not too fond of the hangover that is produced with the backdrops. IProTech should have added telescoping arms to solve this issue. The whole stand itself is a bit too flimsy for me. Another thing that I find a bit troublesome is that you have to fight with the backdrops to do what you want them to do. They do say in the description that you can use traceless tape but I still gotta give that a try.
The best thing about this setup is the backdrops! The backdrops is very good in quality and looks amazing in photos. If you're trying to take pictures from above I think you'll be very happy with the way these backdrops look. The ability to set it up and shoot some pictures pretty quickly is another feature that is a step in the right direction. The clamps even though they aren't long enough it is nice that they are adjustable.
Should You Buy It
The IProTech 7PCS Photography Background is hard to recommend, but it does have some good things however I feel the negative outweighs the good on this product. If you are looking for a backdrop that you can set up quickly with great-looking sheets you can take a look at the IProTech, but just remember that it does have some issues. I think that if you get creative with them you can definitely make this product work for you and take amazing pictures, I just think you are going to have to do a lot of tinkering to make it work!

The IProTech set includes 6 waterproof backdrops (solid & wood designs) made of copperplate paper. They arrive rolled, so I flattened them with books and added grommets to hang them. While the red backdrop scratches easily, they offer great photo quality.https://blackscreen.onl
Like a black screen creates focus, IProTech’s backdrops provide a clean, sharp background for product photos.
