The Fifine Ampligame Gaming Mixer (SC3)
I was a little skeptical when I opened the box and saw how little and compact the Fifine Ampligame Gaming Mixer was, especially compared to the large brick of a mixer I’ve been using for the last 5+ years. I used to use a larger mixer that had all the bells and whistles but I found myself never really using any of them. Then I gave this bad boy a go and that was it, I love this little compact mixer. Not only does it do what it is supposed to without all the fiddling it's small enough to go on top of my desk instead of all the way on the ground like my old mixer. Once you look at the price tag you might wanna give this thing a try as well!
Fifine Button Lay Out
The Fifine Ampligame Gaming Mixer has a minimalistic button layout that allows you ease of use with no tweaking needed. For the button layout will start on the left side with the 48v Phantom power that you are going to need if you are running a condenser mic, Electric which changes the electric tone and is only available for microphone recording (there are 12 of them to choose from), Custom A and C buttons are for customizable sounds (I'm having fun with these). Then in the center, you start with the two sound meters on the very top one of them is for the input and the other is for the output, then the four knobs that control the volume of the aspects written under them, then you have the mute button for each of those knobs. On the the right side which starts with the RGB light settings, change voice, then the other two custom buttons B and D.
Back Plate
On the back plate starting from the left you have a USB type C interface that connects with a USB type C with an adapter for a USB type A to the device you wanna pair with the mixer such as a PC , a 3.5 mm Line Out which would be for speakers, 3.5 mm headphone jack, and if you want background sounds they have a 3.5mm Line In for that as well. They also have a 3.5 mm for a TRRS headset in case you want to use the Fifine mixer with a headset that has a mic. Then if you know (or figure out) which mic you have you can switch between a Dynamic and a Condenser mic, next you have the XLR jack which can be used as an XLR or a 1/4" input for a TRS or TRRS dynamic microphone. You can also use Fifine Ampligame Gaming Mixer if you have a duel streaming setup by connecting the gaming PC to the USB and the streaming PC to the Out Put, I haven't tested this because I do not have a dual PC streaming setup but for more information you can always check the manual that comes with it!
Customizability
Just because the Fifine Ampligame Gaming Mixer doesn't come with all the bells and whistles doesn't mean it's lacking in some cool features and customizability. First off, lets speak about the RGB settings and how you have 12 RGB settings including the RGB off, which is nice so you can match it to the aesthetic of your gaming room/cave. You can also play around with the voice change options which has 6 settings. I honestly don't care for them but they are there in case you want to use them. The Fifine mixer also has 4 custom buttons for you to record up to 15 seconds worth of sound for each. Do you have a catchphrase you use a lot? you can record it, do you have a funny sound you wanna play at a second notice? You can record it, I really like this and feel like it adds a lot to the overall function and usefulness of the mixer!
Simplicity
With my other mixer, I felt like I had too many options almost overwhelmingly so, like I need to take a sound class just to learn how to use it. Not with this one it's pretty much plug in and play with the volume and you're good to go! Which is excellent for a gamer like me! I like how I can just turn on my PC and the mixer just turns on with it and it fits on my desk without much fuss. Everything about this mixer just makes it user-friendly and ready to go. I even tried the sound of the mic with both my old mixer and my new one and I feel the sound from the fifine came out smoother and louder, of course that could have been because I didn't know how to really set up my old mixer (a lot of trial and error). I didn't have time to take that sound class hahaha.
Should You Buy The Fifine Mixer
I would say that if your looking for a mixer that is very user-friendly and easy to use and don't really need all the bells and whistles such as more XLRs or changing the highs, mids, and lows then this could be what you're looking for. Another downsides I have for this mixer is that when you turn it off and back on a lot of the settings you had on resets, such as the phantom power button (48V) or the mute buttons all reset when you turn it off and then back on again. also it may not have all the options some customers may be looking for because this is a very simple plug in and go system. The Fifine Ampligame Gaming Mixer is great at what it does without all the fuss, and the sound I get from it is amazing. I also love how small and compact it is so you can really put it anywhere. Without a doubt I will be using this Mixer on a regular basis and getting rid of my old one, so take that how you like. So in summary, if you're looking for a no-fuss, compact, plug-in-and-play mixer the Fifine Ampligame Gaming Mixer could be just what you're looking for!
UPDATE- If you run into an issue with no playback on your headset even though it says it's playing audio through the mixer just unplug the power for a few seconds then plug it back in, it worked for me at least!
