The Voltage:

The Bigasuo 10.1" WI-FI Digital Picture Frame is a great frame for the money! You get a digital frame with a lot of customizable options and that is easy to use. It comes with 32GB of internal memory and allows you to play videos for up to 120 seconds. It also allows you to expand your storage by another 32GB through an SD/Micro SD card. This WI-FI digital picture frame makes it a breeze to go down memory lane without burdening you with the chore of getting your pictures developed, just upload them and be done!

Photos For The Digital Age

I remember a time when I would go to the store with my family before a trip, buy a disposable camera or two, and be on my way! It was always fun to be able to take a bunch of pictures, and then once the trip was over, you would have to wait for them to be developed so you could relive the experience! Now, I do have to say there is something different about being able to physically touch and collect photos, but a lot of that has to do with growing up in a time of photo albums and having to buy different-sized frames for the different-sized photos you asked for.

Now comes the digital picture frames where you can have an entire photo album put inside one screen. The digital picture frame not only saves you time and money of getting pictures developed but it adds the convenience of just being able to upload pictures straight to the frame. We are all pretty much wired to do it anyway from posting on Facebook and Instagram, so it should be an easy transition!

The Bigasuo 10.1" Digital Picture Frame that I purchased came in a sleek black color, and it give you the option to either hang it up or put it on a desktop, with the screw or stand that is included in the box. Both means of display gives you the option to choose from portrait or landscape mode. The only feature that I feel like it's missing is the lack of a power source other than through an outlet. I mean, what if I want to hand it to somebody and be like, these are the pictures of my trip to the beach, I'm kinda stuck showing them by standing right next to it.

I really did enjoy how easy it was to use and set up. To set it up, you connect it to your 2.4GHz WI-Fi, then you have to download the app and connect it by clicking add friend and then either putting the pin in they give you or scanning the QR code through the app. The way you scan it through the app is that you go into the me tab in the app, then on the top right across where it says profile on the top, you will see an icon that has a square with a line through it, that is your scanner within the app.

Software & Settings

Software:

The software that you use for this digital frame is very rudimentary and is only really used for uploading pictures to the device. It really has no ability to control the frame other than to upload pictures, edit them a smidge, write captions, or rename the device. This is a bummer since I don't wanna have to go to the device every time I want to adjust a setting.

There is a webpage that you can go to that will help you download the picture however, it has the same issue, which is that it doesn't have any control of the device. If you're interested in checking out the website, it is https://uhale.zeasn.tv. The only difference between the app and the website that I noticed is how much it can upload to the picture frame. The app can do 100, while the website can do up to 500 at once!

The app, however, does give you the option to send little messages and effects through the little gift icon that pops up on the bottom of the page. In this section, you can send a holiday message or another special message to any device you are connected to. It's a nice touch to be able to send a message to those who mean the world to you from half a world away!

Settings:

Unfortunately, to mess with the settings, you have to have the device in hand, which wouldn't be so bad if it had an internal power source in it instead of being tethered to the wall. The settings give you many options, from how long you want the picture to stay on the screen to what time you want the device to go into sleep mode (which puts a clock into the screen). It will even let you put the weather and time on top of the picture for convenience.

There is even a setting for hiding a photo in case you need to hide certain pictures in case of a party or company that may not like certain other company, if you know what I mean. They also give you the option to change the brightness as well as in what order to show the pictures. So, as you may see, there are a lot of options to make this picture frame work for just about anybody who needs one!

With all these settings and the ability to customize how you want this frame to work, its kinda of a letdown that they don't let you break them down into albums and choose which one to show. I guess you will have to just buy another one if you want to show different albums.

The Good & The Bad

Bigasuo 10.1 WI-FI digital Picture Frame back view

The Good:

  • Auto Rotation- To be able to set your frame any way you like and for the pictures to populate it in that format is great, there is even a setting that lets you fill it in with a background color or with the image itself!

  • 32 GB Storage- The storage is a great size for a digital picture frame, and you can even double it by using an SD card up to 32GB as well.

  • Touch Screen- The touch screen on this product is great, though it may be a little difficult to get the sliders where you want them at times

  • Plays 120-Second Videos- It's always great to be able to add a little bit of video here and there so to be able to add 120 seconds of video is awesome!

  • Multi-User Connection- It's always a great surprise to find great photos added to the frame from another user; it makes it feel more like a community/family thing!

The Bad:

  • No Internal Power Source- It is just a feature that would really make this product shine.

  • No Albums- I wish it would let you sort your pictures into albums because that would allow you to pick which album to show.

  • App- The app feels a little lacking, I would love to be able to switch settings from the app to the device so that you didn't have to get up and pick up the frame just to do that.

  • Editing- The editing tool they give you is very basic, it just lets you move the picture a little bit, and that's about it. I wish it would let you do a little bit of cropping, but it doesn't give you that ability

Final Thoughts

Bigasuo 10.1 WI-FI digital Picture Frame horizontal

The Bigasuo 10.1 WI-FI digital Picture Frame is a good frame that gives you a lot of customizable options to fit the needs of just about anyone. It comes with 32 GB of storage and can play videos up to 120 seconds long, so you will have fun with this digital frame for a long time to come. There are, of course, some shortcomings, for example, no internal power source and no albums, though what you get for what you paid for is in my humble opinion a great value!
