The Voltage:
The AeroPress XL Coffee Press is a great coffee brewer that makes an amazing cup of coffee quick and easy. The coffee is brewed with immersion-style that comes out rich and full-bodied without all the sediment that is normally accompanied by French Presses styled coffee. Though the XL is the biggest (at this time) AeroPress however, I still feel like it is more portable than just about any other brewer out there so you can bring this with you on your adventures. Follow me as I dive deeper into the Aeropress XL Coffee Press!
The AeroPress XL Coffee Press

The Aeropress style of coffee brewing is something I've come to really enjoy. It makes such a clean and robust cup of coffee and it's very fast to brew, so fast you wait longer to heat up the water than it takes to brew your coffee. I personally enjoyed the AeroPress Go (Click Here for that review) so I'm excited to find out the ins and outs of the AeroPress XL Coffee Press.
The Components

The AeroPress XL Coffee Press comes in a compact package that's great for storage or if you wanna take this guy on the go! Of course, it isn't as compact as the AeroPress Go but it's still easy to throw in a bag if you want to take it with you on a trip.
The AeroPress XL has a larger chamber and plunger that can brew up to 20 oz so you can make a bit more coffee with each brew. It does come with a filter cap with some extra filters so you should be good for a little bit at least. However, you may still want to look at getting some filters ordered if you plan on using it every day. Then there is the stir and the scoop that comes in a heavy-duty plastic and is great to take on the go with you.
The last thing that comes in this package is the Carafe which is made out of a crystal-clear shatterproof Tritan so you know it will last. The carafe is made to hold 20 oz of your favorite coffee, though I do have an issue with how hot it gets after brewing which indeed makes it harder to pour into your mug.
Brew Method

The brew method is pretty straightforward but still gives you room to play around with it. These are the steps I use to brew with the AeroPress XL Coffee Press:
Get your brewer ready- take out the plunger from the chamber and take off the filter cap so you can add a filter to it and then pop the filter cap back on. Then put your chamber with the filter inside the filter camp on top of the Carafe.
Heat up your water (185°F)- I prewet my filter with some of the water that's heating up but the temperature at which you use is another setting you can play with.
Grind Coffee & Add To The Chamber- I do about two scoops of medium-fine grind (for 2 cups of coffee) but you can play around with this and see what works for you, once you add the coffee shake it to even it out inside the chamber.
Add Water- Once the water is hot enough add the water to the chamber (add water to 4 for 1 cup and 8 for 2 cups) you may notice some coffee flowing through this normal.
Stir- Stir it for about 3-5 seconds.
Insert Plunger- Insert the plunger about 1/2 inch inside this will stop the flow of coffee. Leave it alone for about 60 seconds.
Push The Plunger- Push the plunger all the way down by gently applying pressure until you hear hissing.
Enjoy!
My Experience With The AeroPress XL

I have to say the experience I've had with the AeroPress XL so far has been very pleasant and I found very little issues with it. I love how the coffee tastes with this brewing style because it has a very clean and robust cup of coffee. The brewing process is very easy and straightforward but still gives you room to tinker with it to make the perfect cup of Joe for yourself.
The Aeropress is very easy to clean all you have to do is wipe it down and wash it. If you want to get it extra clean all the components are Top Rack dishwasher safe so it's easy peasy. The only issue I have with cleaning the XL is that I just don't like how messy it can get with the grinds because you always have a little bit of grinds left on the plunger and I don't like letting coffee grinds go down the sink.
The 20oz Carafe is a wee bit bigger than the AeroPress Go carafe coming at 15 oz but I still consider it a smaller amount of brew. I find myself brewing twice in the morning once for myself and once for my partner. Though it may seem rather bothersome I don't find it too crazy because of how fast it is to brew.
The speed at which you are able to brew it may offset the size because you can pop more coffee out at a faster rate if you have to. The XL is still one of, if not the biggest Aeropress they make however, the size in which you can brew with the AeroPress should be considered if you are thinking about purchasing this product.
The Good & The Bad

The Good:
Great tasting coffee- The coffee that comes outta this brewer is full-bodied and crisp as well as free of any grinds or bitterness.
Fast Brewing Time- The brewing time with Aeropress is amazingly quick and you still get a great cup of Joe.
Ease Of Use- This brewer is very easy to use if you want more guides and videos you can go to their website or Click Here.
Easy To Clean- You can clean it in seconds by rinsing it off after every use and if you want to deep clean it every component in the XL package is Dishwasher safe (Top Rack Only).
Portable- Its a smaller system and not as fragile as most other brewers so it's easier to take with you.
The Bad:
Hot Carafe- when you gotta pick up the carafe be careful how you pick it up because it can be really hot, I wish they put something around it so you can pick it up easier.
Smaller Batches- The XL still brews smaller batches of coffee so if you have friends over get ready to brew a number of times.
Coffee Grinds- Cleaning can be very easy however, if you don't want to get coffee grinds down your sink you may have to use paper towels to clean the plunger over your trash can.
XL Filters Are Expensive- The XL filters are a bit more expensive than the regular ones so just keep that in mind.
Conclusion

The AeroPress XL Coffee Press is a great brewer because it is very easy to use and makes amazing-tasting coffee! The quick and efficient manner in which it brews makes the small batches of coffee that it brews worth it because it tastes so crisp and robust and you can always brew another one very quickly. I find the brewer very user-friendly but still enables you to play around with it till you get it perfect for yourself.
There are a few issues with the XL I have found such as the filter for the XL being a bit more expensive than the regular issue AeroPress filters. Then there is the hot carafe so be careful with higher-temperature water because you may have an issue with picking it up.
However, looking at the system as a whole I would have to say it's a great product and one I think any coffee drinker would love! The way this brewer uses immersion to create a top-notch brew and you will wake up every morning ready to enjoy more of it!
